I still have love for... Jake Ryan!
So I found myself watching 16 Candles tonight, drinking wine, and reveling in the fact that Jake Ryan is still HOT and I have not seen him since the ninties. I also reveled in the fact that his haircut is still popular, but I digress... So I did some research on the super highway of information (on my new lap top-BTW) and I discovered that he has literally disappeared. One site said that GQ tried to do a story on his a couple of years ago and they could not find him! Anyways... I am positive that you all have the same secret love for him and would love to know where he is now... As I assume every girl of our generation would! Suzy- you would be my hero, along with all 25-45 year old women out there- if you could update us! So what are the odds? Is there any news about Michael Schoefling (aka Jake Ryan)??? Inquiring minds want to know!

From 2004...
He's 43 now and, last anyone heard, lives near Wilkes-Barre, Pa., where he owns a hand-crafted furniture business. (Yes, Jakettes: He's a carpenter. He works with his hands. In his last interview, in 1991, he was happily married to his wife, Valerie. Their two children would be teenagers now.) He's unlisted, and other Schoefflings in rural Pennsylvania won't help inquisitive fans. GQ magazine looked for him in 2002, and gave up, calling him "the Salinger of male model/actors."
